Guam Department of Education Special Education bus involved in minor accident

A student riding a Guam Department of Education Special Education bus sustained injuries that "seemed to be slight ones,” following a minor accident Monday morning.
That's according to GDOE Public Information Officer, Damen Michael Borja.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 am near the Chalan Mataguak area in Yigo, with three students on board.
Borja says the bus driver immediately notified first responders, who carried out an initial injury assessment.
Students were then transported to D.L. Perez Elementary School, where the school nurse conducted a follow-up medical evaluation and parents and guardians were notified.
In response to protocol inquiries, Borja added, “Whether or not the bus driver was at fault, they are sent directly to get drug tested per protocol.
However, Borja said GDOE can confirm the bus driver was not at fault.
