The PDC European Tour launched in 2012 with just five tournaments. Since then, it has grown into a key part of the darts calendar, with the 2025 season featuring 14 events spread across Germany, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Switzerland.
When it comes to all-time appearances on the European Tour, no player can match Peter Wright. The 55-year-old Scotsman has competed in 131 Euro Tour events — the most of any player. Known for his colourful hairstyles and vibrant personality, “Snakebite” has also captured nine European Tour titles throughout his career.
The Netherlands is represented at the top of the list by Michael van Gerwen. The three-time World Champion has made 122 appearances and has been dominant on this circuit, claiming a staggering 38 titles. "Mighty Mike" remains one of the most successful players in Euro Tour history by both appearances and silverware.
Dave Chisnall leads the way for England. “Chizzy” has featured in 115 European Tour events and won eight titles, firmly establishing himself as one of the most consistent players on the circuit over the years.
Northern Ireland’s Daryl Gurney follows with 95 appearances, and although he has yet to lift a Euro Tour title, his regular presence highlights his status at the top level.
Australia’s Simon Whitlock, a long-time fan favourite, has made 87 appearances, while Wales is represented by Gerwyn Price, who has played in 86 events. Both players have been fixtures on the European Tour over the past decade.
Austria’s Mensur Suljović has also clocked up an impressive 85 appearances, while Belgium’s Kim Huybrechts — the top Belgian on the list — has played in 84 events. “The Hurricane” has celebrated two European Tour titles, having won the Dutch Darts Masters in 2013 and the European Darts Grand Prix in 2015.
Further down the list, Germany’s Martin Schindler (68 appearances) and Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski (66) underline the increasing influence of mainland European players in recent years.
Ireland’s William O’Connor (41), Portugal’s José de Sousa (36), Latvia’s Madars Razma (34), Spain’s Cristo Reyes (31), South Africa’s Devon Petersen (23) and Czech Republic’s Karel Sedláček (19) round out a diverse lineup of players who have carried their nations’ hopes on the Euro Tour stage.
The growing spread of countries represented — from South Africa to Australia and across Europe — reflects just how global the European Tour has become since its inception. With the Euro Tour continuing this weekend at the 2025 European Darts Grand Prix, another chance for success presents itself in Sindelfingen.

The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 2-0 on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park, improving their MLB-best record to 35-19. Unfortunately, Philadelphia lost superstar first baseman Bryce Harper in the process. Hit on the right elbow by a Spencer Strider fastball, Harper was forced to exit in the first inning. Philadelphia later announced Harper suffered a right elbow contusion, with X-Rays coming back negative (via B/R Walk-Off on X). An eight-time All-Star and two-time National League MVP, Harper is in his 14th MLB season. Still among the game's best hitters, Harper's career 143 OPS+ was tied for fifth among active players entering Tuesday. Speaking with reporters after the game, Strider was asked about hitting Harper, and delivered a clear message (via NBC Sports Philadelphia). "Certainly not trying to hit him," he said. "In the moment, I just assumed he had a guard on and was just pissed that I hit him. Then I saw him in pain, and that was tough. So I'm definitely relieved that's he's okay. He’s one of the best players this century. He needs to be on the field. It’s best for the game, and it’s good for us. It’s good to compete against him." Strider added he did feel bad for Harper once he realized the Phillies star was in pain, telling reporters, "I’m not a complete sociopath, so I have some empathy. I do feel bad for him, to see a person in pain that I caused. But I’ve still got a job to do." For Strider, this was just his third start of the season. The 2023 All-Star is 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA.
The Minnesota Vikings have been a franchise for 64 seasons and have won one NFL Championship, which came in 1969, a year before the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. Since then, the Vikings have been to four Super Bowls but have never hoisted a Lombardi Trophy. Could this year be their year? Last season, the Vikings were unexpectedly one of the best teams in the NFL and went on a run, going 14-3 in the regular-season. They were led by quarterback Sam Darnold, who had a career-best year. But they elected to move on from him for J.J. McCarthy, who missed his entire rookie season due to injury. Although the unproven McCarthy has never played a snap in the NFL, NFL talk-show host Kay Adams has full confidence in the Vikings’ chances of a Super Bowl run. Speaking to former NFL defensive back Jason McCourty on her show, "Up Adams," she boldly stated that the Vikings don’t have any excuse to not play for a Lombardi Trophy. “I’ve been saying all offseason that the Vikings have no excuse to not win the Super Bowl,” Adams claimed. The team has a good roster in place with an unproven quarterback. Making the difficult decision to move on from Darnold, the Vikings decided against pursuing Aaron Rodgers in free agency. With the team rolling out with McCarthy, Adams said the Vikings better sure that he’s just as good as Rodgers now, as their window to win a Super Bowl is now. “If you weren’t in on that and you didn’t take that super seriously, you better have been sure about J.J., J.J. better be Aaron Rodgers,” Adams said. “The window is right now, and you sent Sam go, so this J.J. better be a big-play big-moment guy, and they better win the Super Bowl.” McCarthy will basically be playing his rookie year this season. As of right now, his recovery is on track for him to start for the Vikings in Week 1. Aaron Rodgers is a free agent and isn't committed to any team right now. Should McCarthy get injured again or fall back in his progression, then maybe the Vikings could offer him a deal to play for them. The Vikings, who play in the tough NFC North division, could make the playoffs and potentially another run at a Super Bowl. But to think that they would win with McCarthy in his first season as a starter, might be a far-fetched prediction.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are in a tough spot as they head into the offseason. After another early playoff exit, the Maple Leafs roster could look very different next season. Toronto has multiple key players entering into free agency, and a few of them aren't expected to return. The main one is star Mitch Marner, who would be taking some massive production with him if he were to leave. But the Maple Leafs will also likely be active in adding to the team. This roster needs some tweaks to ensure that another early playoff exit doesn't happen next season. James Mirtle of The Athletic listed center options for Toronto, and Matt Duchene of the Dallas Stars was named as a potential option for Toronto. The Maple Leafs need to upgrade at the center spot this offseason, and Duchene could be a solid addition. "Well, at center, there just aren’t many options. If the Leafs are resolved to trying to find a 2C, there are really only three names going UFA this year other than Tavares: Matt Duchene, Sam Bennett and Brock Nelson." Duchene had a great year for Dallas during the regular season, putting up 30 goals and 52 assists. So far in the postseason, he has registered one goal and four assists over 16 games played. Adding someone like him could help this team dramatically, especially if they do allow Marner to leave town. Duchene would be an upgrade for this roster and could help alleviate some of the offensive woes that Toronto saw in the playoffs. Duchene has been very productive in his two years in Dallas and could possibly welcome the chance to help Toronto go after the Stanley Cup.
After seeing a historic rookie season from Caitlin Clark last year, many anxiously awaited to see if Paige Bueckers could deliver similar results. Through the first two weeks of her pro career, the former UConn star has lived up to expectations. Last week, Bueckers got to showcase her talents in her hometown against the Minnesota Lynx. On Tuesday night, she found herself with another homecoming. The Dallas Wings guard got to play in front of fans in Connecticut again for the first time since leaving the Huskies this spring. Similar to her return to Minnesota, Bueckers did not let this opportunity go to waste. She put together the best showing of her WNBA career thus far, erupting for 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists on stellar 8-of-10 shooting from the field. This showing was a driving force in the Wings picking up their first win of the 2025 season. Along with continuing to shine since being taken first overall in the 2025 draft, Bueckers has worked her way into the history books. She is now the first player in league history to record at least 60 points and 30 assists through their first five games. Coming out of UConn, many argued that Bueckers is just as skilled as Clark and could have a similar impact from day one. Now setting her own records, the Wings guard is wasting no time making noise in the WNBA. Overall, seeing another top pick come in and shine is great for the long-term trajectory of the WNBA. The league is in the midst of a rapid growth period with popularity growing by the day. With young players like Bueckers and Clark continuing to stand out, the WNBA has promising talents capable of leading the next generation. Fresh off winning a national championship at UConn, Bueckers entered the WNBA with lofty expectations of her own. This doesn't seem to have fazed her, as she adjusted to competing at the pro level nicely. While Bueckers has succeeded in laying the groundwork, the key for her will be building off this momentum in the coming months as she navigates her first year in the WNBA.
